An extinct species of flowering plant in the family Araceae, Orontium mackii grew in North America during the Late Cretaceous. Its remains have been found in New Mexico. It grew in subtropical wetlands, although unlike the modern O. aquaticum, it was not entirely restricted to the water, and it was able to grow on land.
