Amber is fossilized tree resin (sap) that has been preserved over millions of years. Sometimes, insects and other objects get trapped in the amber and are preserved along with it.[]
In Jurassicraft, there are two varieties of amber: The Mosquito in Amber (yields DNA from land animals), and the Aphid in Amber (yields DNA from Plants and Trees). When amber ore is mined, there's a 50/50 chance of it yielding either variant.[]
Place amber into a DNA Extractor along with a Storage Disc to obtain DNA (from the animal or plant the encased insect parasitized before it died).[]
